BARLBY HIGH SCHOOL IS PART OF

Spelling Bee Competition

Dear parents/carers

I am delighted to inform you that your son/daughter has been successful in a Spelling Bee competition we recently ran in the English and MFL departments at Barlby High School. This competition was for a place to compete in our Spelling Bee Final, where students will go head to head with members of other houses, which will be held on Tuesday 3rd July at 6pm at Barlby High School.

The Spelling Bee is a wonderful opportunity for our students to showcase their knowledge of words and spelling, competing against the best spellers in the school. Students have been given a final list of words to learn for each language; 50 words for English and 25 words for French.

We would love the support of all parents and carers on the evening. You are most welcome to join us in the library to cheer on our participants. There will also be refreshments served during the evening.

If you have any queries regarding the evening please do not hesitate to contact me at school.

Yours faithfully

Mrs Henderson Teacher of MFL

Please complete the permission slip and return to Mrs Henderson as soon as possible.
