BARLBY HIGH SCHOOL IS PART OF

Positive Wellbeing

Barlby High School wellbeing aim:

The wellbeing of all our children is central to their development, it enables them to thrive and flourish, to ‘live life to the full’.
The thrive model places emphasis on prevention to ensure that young people are thriving. We are using the 5 Ways to Wellbeing approach to support mental health and wellbeing. These are five simple actions that are known to improve mental health and wellbeing, as promoted by the NHS and charities such as Mind. These 5 ways to wellbeing are:
  • Connect
  • Be active
  • Take notice
  • Keep learning
  • Give

Further information about all of these and ways to approach them can be found on our Barlby Wellbeing poster below – this can also be seen by students in all classrooms around the school.

Look at the goodies that staff (and one of my Year 9s!) have donated to Black Cat Rescue in North Duffield! Still time to contribute if you want to add to the food appeal! @Barlby_High pic.twitter.com/Mmjm…
