The Year 7 netball team took on eight other teams from the Selby area in the Selby school competition and played brilliantly throughout.
In the first three games they played Sherburn B, Brayton A and Selby A teams and netted 15 goals – five in each game – thanks to great shooting from Ella Austin and Emma Wharam.
With a short blip against a very physical Sherburn team losing 3-0 we soon came back out fighting with a 1-0 win over Sherburn A, a 4-0 win over Selby B, a 3-0 win over Carlton and finally a 3-0 win over Selby C.
For the girls to net so many goals and (mainly) keep clean sheets was a real credit to the team. The movement in centre court from Lucie Ward, Libby Appleyard, Hannah Tranter and Charlotte Cameron was really good and thanks to decisive defending from Lucy Pilkington and Jess Trotter we were always dominant on court.
Well done girls – it was a real pleasure to watch you!

Friday saw our second Headteacher's breakfast of 2022, celebrating the achievements of our superb students. They enjoyed a mixture of healthy and not so healthy breakfast treats. Well done everyone! @HopeSentamuLT pic.twitter.com/mdRg…
