National Careers Week 2021

National Careers Week – 1-6 March 2021

National Careers Week (NCW) is a celebration of careers guidance and free resources in education across the UK. The aim is to provide a focus for careers guidance activity at an important stage in the academic calendar to help support young people leaving education. 

Here at Barlby High, we’ve gathered lots of resources and opportunities together for you. Check out the info below and on our main Careers page.

National Careers Week – Virtual Careers Fair

Take part in the biggest celebration of careers across the UK…and it’s all online. The Virtual Careers Fair will go live on day 1 of Careers Week (1 March). You can find out more here.

Insight into Army Careers – 11.30am on 5 March 2021

Join the Army for a whistle stop tour of Army Careers to celebrate National Careers Week. This virtual event is for students and teachers interested in finding out more about Army opportunities; no previous knowledge required. We’ll also be looking at the qualifications on offer including apprenticeships and degrees, as well as the Army Foundation College, Harrogate.

RAF Apprenticeships and Careers webinar – 2.00pm on 8 March 2021

Join this webinar to hear from ambassador and recruitment staff within different areas of the RAF. The webinar will include an engaging mix of presentations, interactive workshops and valuable Q&A opportunities with a panel of RAF Ambassadors.

York College have produced a number of ‘how to’ videos including this useful one on How to apply for an apprenticeship.
